I am a carrier pigeon

...and I come bearing presents and invitations

Dearest Reader,

Let this newsletter serve as the 21st century’s answer to a carrier pigeon, town crier, and magical owl with a scroll wound round his foot. As promised, you are the *first* to learn that the second collection of SOIRÉE merch is officially LIVE and we’ve just opened seats for the biggest supper club YET to celebrate! Keep reading for a special merch discount code just for you!

From a newsletter that demystifies “the lost art of entertaining” and (finally) welcomes it to the 21st century to a site filled with everything from easy salad formulas to 101 wine pairings, food fact videos to fuel dinner table debates, an ever growing Supper Club, and so much more, SOIRÉE is a digital haven devoted to simplifying the stress of hosting. Food is fun. Friends are fun. The combination shouldn’t be frustrating.

But SOIRÉE is more than *just dinner parties*. It is built by and for the lifestyle of being a host—the all consuming love of food and hospitality, the warmth and generosity that comes with cooking for loved ones and strangers alike, the urge to '“dress for every occasion,” and the art of romanticizing otherwise “un-special” moments.

The ability to find joy and excitement in the little things is what this new collection represents. As a thank you for all of your support use the code BULLISH15 at checkout for a discount off your first purchase and check out some of our favorite pieces here!

Musings on love & little things

I walked 30 miles this weekend. I danced with my brother in the living room at 8 and with my cousin at Jean’s at 3. My internal bedtime alarm prompts pajamas at 9, but instead, my friend and I ran half a mile home from dinner in sequined stilettos.

I got to make my mama the same chicken ginger soup she used make me, took my dog to Pop Up for a bagel, cold plunged at Bathhouse, flirted with strangers, and made jewelry while listening to books that made me blush.

This weekend I got to photosynthesize on every street corner of the village, aimless wandering fueled by filterless chit chat, espressos, 5 year plans, and negronis with the kind of pinch me, how’d I get so lucky friend where there’s nothing to prove, only nonsensical musings to share, snort at, and repeat—peeking around corners for strangers to recognize the ~comedic geniuses~ that we are.

I got to finally exhale after a *capital H* Hard Month of holding my breath and re-fall in love with the little things that make life a little lighter.

The craziest part of it all is that I got to do all of this while wearing samples from the *second* collection of SOIRÉE merch?! A line dedicated to these moments exactly.

Two years ago today, a very depressed girl quit her job to try to build a site and community dedicated to simplifying hosting—make connecting over a shared meal easy, accessible, and stress-free rather than stressful. It has been a long, hard, two steps forward one step back, tear (and dancing) filled process, but I so beyond grateful for this wild ride and the lessons that have come with it, because in the process, I’ve been able to have the privilege of re-falling in love with food, community, and life, as something to be enjoyed more often than endured.

Today we’re launching 10 pieces dedicated to finding love, lightness, and warmth in life’s little luxuries—a particularly flaky croissant, a bowl of soup, butter, dancing at the grocery store, hat-hair hosting, eating with friends, etc.

THANK YOU for making this possible, for your support, and for COMING TO THE SOIRÉE! Drop your info here to join us at our 3/30 “Surrealist” Supper Club!
